The process for Blu-ray duplication is one that utilises 'copiers' these take the data content from the master Blu-ray and burn the information onto another Blu-ray disc . A BD-R (recordable) is used during this process; these discs have a purple recordable surface. This contains a photosensitive dye that darkens to create a digital code that will be read by the laser in your HD player.
