The CD duplication process uses 'copiers' to burn data. A CD-R (recordable) is used for this process and has a blue / green recording surface. This is photosensitive dye darkens to create a digital code. A diamond-silver recordable surface is available at a slightly higher cost, should you wish your discs to appear just like CD-ROMs.
